How To Find Out the Best Salon in Lagos For YOU
So you need to get your hair done, but with so many salons in Lagos, how do actually decide which one is the right choice for yourself? Well, I’m here to help make that a lot easier for you, so read on to find out some really easy ways to help you select the right salon for yourself.
1. Visit their website or call for information
The first thing I suggest when searching for the right salon is to visit their website. It is where one can get a feel of the brand and get at least the basics of information – who, what, where. If the salon does not have a website then visit their social media pages. I’d be concerned if a salon has neither because these are usually the most popular ways for salons to reach clients and share their own work. So make sure the salon has at least one of these.
If they have both, even better! Here are some things you may want to look out for:
- What services do they offer?
- Are they experienced and trustworthy?
- What are their values – i.e. do they care about customer service?
If you are still not able to answer these questions then it may be best to call the salon for further information as speaking to someone may be the deciding factor as to whether or not you proceed to the next step.
2. Schedule a consultation
So you’ve found out more information and you’re feeling quite positive about the new salon but you’re not completely sure just yet. The best and easiest way to find out if a salon is the right fit for you is to schedule a consultation. A consultation will almost always give you the answers you are looking for. It is simply because you can physically see the salon, discuss with the stylist etc. You can really get a proper feel for what the salon is all about and if it matches your vibe. You can see if it is clean, comfortable, easy to get to etc. Ask any questions you can think of (i.e. the questions above) that will take away any doubt you may have. We offer 15 minute consultations here at TAUPE and in my years of hairdressing, I can tell you that 15 minutes is more than enough time to decide if the salon is the right fit for you.
3. Ask for third party opinions
This third point is to ask others you know who may have visited the salon before and had their hair done. Ask them what their experience was like. The best form of marketing is word-of-mouth and people you know are usually very truthful when you ask them what they think about an experience they had in a place of business. If you don’t know anyone who has been there, then another way you can do this is to check out their reviews. Simply put in a search on i.e. Google (for example, “TAUPE Salon in Lagos”) and see what others are saying on other websites or even Google Business. Google Business has a rating system where customers can leave feedback for businesses and anything from 4.0 upwards is usually a good look.
I understand it can be quite daunting finding a salon that caters to what you want so I hope this has aided you in some ways than none. Through my years of experience, I have found that as long as your questions have all been answered to your satisfaction before receiving a service, the happier you will be and the better it is for everybody.
